Dr. Zach Boyd, O.D.
Dr. Zach Boyd graduated from Southern College of Optometry in 1996. While in school he attended externships at Omni Eye Care Associates in Chattanooga, TN and Primary Eye Care Associates in Nashville, TN. Dr. Boyd was invited to join the Gold Key Optometric Honor Society during his senior year at S.C.O. . After graduation, Dr. Boyd joined the practice of Drs. Turney & Boyd, Optometrists and has enjoyed providing for the eye care needs of the Upper Cumberland ever since.
Since graduation Dr. Boyd has become an active member of the Upper Cumberland Optometric Society. He has also served as a trustee to the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians. During that tenure he has served on many standing committees within the association. He has also been a member of the American Optometric Association for the past twenty years.
During the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians Congress in the fall of 2004 Dr. Boyd was honored to receive the prestigious 2004 Young Optometrist of the Year Award for the state of Tennessee.
Dr. Boyd enjoys basketball, woodworking, and guitar. He is a past president of the Crossville Noon Rotary Club and is an active member of Cumberland Homesteads Baptist Church. There he enjoys singing in the choir and praise team and working with the church youth. He is married to his lovely wife Dr. Lori M. Boyd and has two beautiful children Emily and Zachary.

Dr. Lori M. Boyd graduated from Southern College of Optometry in 1996. She is a native of Mississippi and a 1992 graduate of the University of Mississippi. She began practicing optometry in Cookeville, Tennessee in 1996. She then joined Drs. Turney & Boyd, PLLC, Optometrists in June of 1999.
Dr. Boyd is a member of the American Optometric Association, Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians and Upper Cumberland Optometric Society. She is a past-president of the Upper Cumberland Optometric Society and the Crossville Lions Club. She has been very active in the Homestead Elementary PTSO where she has served also as past president. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for Hilltoppers, Inc..

Dr. Kenneth Nix, O.D.
Dr. Kenneth Nix has been serving the people of the Sequatchie Valley and surrounding areas for over 40 years. He began his education at Southwest Oklahoma State University in 1972 and later attended and graduated from Southern College Optometry in 1976. After earning his doctorate in optometry he served four years as an optometrist in the United States Air Force earning the rank of Captain. He served twelve years on the Tennessee Board of Optometry, and has been a member of the Tennessee Association of Optometric Physicians and the American Optometric Association his entire career. Dr. Nix is also a Rosarian (a person who is fond of, develops and cultivates roses) and has studied and cultivated several varieties of roses in his personal garden.
Dr. Nix has always enjoyed practicing adult and pediatric eye care. He will be providing comprehensive eye exams and treating all forms of ocular diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts and corneal disease. He is also here to take care of acute conditions such as ocular trauma and corneal foreign bodies. Above all he is excited to carry out the motto of Boyd Family Eyecare where he will continue to "Focus on You!"

Dr. Marly Myrick, O.D.
Dr. Marly Coleman graduated Magna Cumme Laude from Southern College of Optometry in 2021. During Optometry school, she was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and awarded the Clinical Science Award and SCO Achievement Scholarship. She was an active member of Fellowship of Christian Optometrists and served as Mission Team Coordinator. She has travelled on international mission trips to Costa Rica and Jamaica to provide eye care to the underserved.
Dr. Marly trained at Southeast Eye Specialists in Knoxville and Drs. Kapperman, White, & McGarvey in Chattanooga. During these clinical rotations, she provided routine eye exams, pre/postoperative cataract care, and treated ocular disease. She is passionate about eye health and accepts patients of all ages.
Dr. Marly completed her undergraduate training in 2017 at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she studied biology and discovered her love for the outdoors and wildflower plant taxonomy. She spends her free time cherishing her infant son, Foster and enjoys hiking, camping, and riding bikes with her husband, Kyle.

Comprehensive Vision and Eye Health Examinations
Regular eye exams are an invaluable tool in maintaining healthy eyes by detecting and preventing disease. Some diseases develop slowly without causing pain or vision loss. Early detection of any problems can reduce the risk of further harm and allow for a choice of treatment options. The entire exam process can take an hour depending on the complexity of the problem. Each patient will be evaluated with a refraction, slit lamp, intraocular pressure and a retinal exam.
Pediatric Eye Care
We take pride in maintaining the vision of our younger patients in an environment that is lighthearted and fun. We want to insure the good sight, vision, and eye health for the rest of your child's life and take a preventative approach to his/her general health and eye health. We will work with your child's primary care physician to help keep his/her eyes healthy. It is important that all of our pediatric patients have healthy and efficient visual systems to help make visual demands of learning in school easier and fun.

At our office, we offer a comprehensive array of contact lenses to suit each individual patient's needs. We offer daily disposables, extended wear soft lenses to gas permeable contact lenses. We offer regular and custom lens services for both healthy and difficult to fit patients.
